Collin McKinney's Childhood

I was born on April 17, 1776.  I had 19 brothers and sisters!  I was the oldest of them all.  I never went to school because I was busy operating my own trading post in busy Times Square and helping my father fight in the war.  My family moved to Virginia and then Kentucky when I was a teenager, and because we had such a large family we had to take two cars and buy two houses when we got to our new town.   I still did not go to school because there were no schools in the wild west.
